Marbella and Puerto Banus

Treat yourself and spend a day in Marbella, the rich and famous playground! Your private shore excursion will start at Malaga port terminal where you will be picked up by your licensed guide in a luxury vehicle for up to 15 guests. Sit comfortable, check your emails using our on board wi-fi and head towars jet set Marbella. Your guide will point out at the main monuments as you exit bustling Malaga and on your  way on the Costa del Sol will provide a deep insight into the local life, history and anecdotes. Start your visit of Marbella with a scenic tour where you will see the old city gates and the famous Mar Avenue. Its now time to explore the old town of Marbella where you will be able to see the Incarnation Church, as well as hermitages and chapels and incredible Moorish remains dated back as far as the 14th century. The pinacle of your visit is Orange square, a lovely area shaded by orange trees. Time will be given to simply relax with a cup of coffee at a terrace or explore the narrow streets in search of a souvenir.  Your friendly host will take you back to your vehicle and you will go up the hills of Marbella to explore the local Beverly Hills area where more than thousands of world celebrities and royalties have established a permanent or second residence. This worth having your camera at hands to marvel at those architectural master piece mansions and display of wealth such as the King Abdul Aziz Al Saud Mosque which reportedly cost over 40 millions euros to built.  A trip to Marbella wouldn´t be complete without seeing Puerto Banus, the Marina wich holds some of the biggest and most expensive yatchs in the word. There you could come accross any international celebrities, sportsman or entrepreneurs. Have a lunch at your own expense while overlooking the bay, shop in one of the luxury shop designers or simply walk around the beautiful area and soak up the atmosphere.  Your guide will take you back to your vehicle and take you back to Malaga terminal at least an hour before your ship departs. 

Rock Tour

Discover the legendary Rock of Gibraltar on this shore excursion departing from Gibraltar port terminal. Our guide and driver will pick you up at your ship descent for a 3 hours thrilling insight of the Rock´s hidden treasures and inhabitants.  This shore excursion will take you round the Rock while hearing about its historical past, legends and anecdotes. You will start your tour with a visit of the Europa Point.  You will also visit the Nature Reserve up the actual Rock (top of the Rock), its famous St Michael´s Cave and even meet its legendary inhabitants: the Apes! (Apes Den). Carry on your tour by visiting the Great Siege Tunnels, famous for their role during the WW2. Your visit will be lead by a local and certified driver who will share the knowledge of its birthplace with you.  Then drive to Catalan Bay. A drive round the back of the rock, east coast,  for a photo stop overlooking this beautiful fishing village and beach. The rock’s  Italian descendants started by Genoese Merchants fleeing from Napoleonic wars, who settled in this part of the Mediterranean. Follow up with Europa Point. A coastal and tunnel drive will take you to the most southern point in Europe, a photo stop at the shore of the Straits of Gibraltar to North Africa. You will stand between both, Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The Trinity Lighthouse, Moorish Mosque, General Sikorski’s Monument and a different view angle of the rock. First stop at the Upper Rock Nature  Reserve, 150 meters above sea level and visit the Pillars of Hercules. A  5 minute photo stop where you will enjoy great views overlooking the Bay and Straits of Gibraltar to North Africa Morocco. The Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. In ancient times known as “Non Plus Ultra” The end of the World. Then go up to 300 meters above sea level to reach St Michael Cave, a 20 minute visit in this natural grotto to admire its beauty with stalactites and lighting display. Inhabited by the Neanderthals and visited since the time of the Romans, prepared as an emergency hospital during WWII.  Reach the Top of the Rock and enjoy stunning views of both sides of the rock, 400 meters  above sea level. Here, you meet the rock’s main pack of Barbary Apes,  all ages and sizes and maybe even have a close encounter, this pack totals a  number of approximately 40 apes, which we know well.  Introduced in 1750, at present there’s approximately 200 apes  roaming free on the upper rock. The Great Siege Tunnels, at the northern face of the rock, 100 meters above sea level, a 20 minute visit to this man made tunnel, built the hard way, deep into the rock, houses a gallery of cannons proving to have served as  a very effective defence during the Great Siege.  Views overlooking Gibraltar Airport run-way, with great views to the most southern point in Spain/ Land Frontier. Finish your tour with an experience a unique drive across the airport’s runway, where both pedestrians and vehicles cross, this is controlled by traffic lights and barriers. After the tour, spend some time in the lovely Victorian streets of Gibraltar historical centre and shop till you drop tax free on Main street!
